1st CMCI West-Cameroon Regional Convention with Pastor Jean de Dieu Watchiyi

From May 09 to 12, 2024, the large sports hall of the Centre National de la Jeunesse et des Sports (CENAJES) in Dschang was the setting for the first Regional Convention of the Communauté Missionnaire Chrétienne Internationale Ouest-Cameroun.

After 37 years of ministry in this part of the country, under the instruction of Pastor Théodore Andoseh, it was finally time for the saints of the west to receive a convention placed under the sign of a new start towards exponential growth with Pastor Jean de Dieu Watchiyi, national leader of CMCI Cameroun. The man of God had the heavy responsibility of leading this first convention, which was a resounding success, with over 670 saints from the four corners of the region taking part in this great celebration of edification, communion and reflection on the aim and objectives of phase three of the work in the province.

The spirit of God led Pastor Jean de Dieu Watchiyi during the four days of the convention. He taught the western saints about discipleship, as God's method of growth and goal fulfillment. It was also about equipping the saints by equipping them to conquer the west. To demonstrate to the saints that this is possible, Pastor Jean de Dieu subjected the western saints to a very edifying exercise. Each participant purchased the book In the Power of Another by Brother Zach. Over 500 copies were sold, and once each saint had been served, Pastor Jean de Dieu Watchiyi asked the audience to read the book. And so, for three hours and 15 minutes, the whole church read this work that left no one indifferent.

The Lord came down into the meeting room and Pastor Jean de Dieu Watchiyi simply asked each saint to withdraw, to reread the book and work alone so as to be totally ready for the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the coating of power from on high. This will enable them to operate in the power of another.

Sunday May 12, the fourth day of this first convention, was extraordinary. Pastor Jean de Dieu Watchiyi led the whole church in a math exercise to find the purpose of the quinquennium. After several calculations, the Lord revealed the five-year goal, which is 300,000 disciples in 6,000 house churches by December 31, 2029. Each disciple present in the work in the West should lead and disciple one person each year, who in turn integrates and leads one person. This method appealed to the audience and was immediately adopted.

All happy, the saints parted in joy and conviviality. The provincial leader, Pastor Honoré, and several other leaders in turn expressed their gratitude and satisfaction to the Lord for the holding of this convention, which gives another face to the work in the spiritual province of the Communauté Missionnaire Chrétienne Internationale l'Ouest.
