One could read emotion on the faces of many servants of the Lord, family and acquaintances; all dressed in black did not fail to invade the morgue of the Laquintinie Hospital in Douala on Friday June 14 to say a final goodbye to this servant of the eternal who worked so hard for the advancement of the kingdom of heaven. The governor of the Littoral region Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua present at the Laquintinie hospital who for more than 20 years had worked with Pastor Eugène Makembe, he considered the latter as his brother according to the governor "Pastor Eugène Makembe and he carried out numerous activities notably in the Association of Businessmen of the Full Gospel, he who was at that time sub-prefect of Bonaberi in the 4th district of the city of Douala despite his assignment in other cities where they kept in touch Pastor Eugène Makembe was a very serious person who did not play around with the gospel.
The good soldier of Christ who never gave up in the face of difficulty provided advice based on the Holy Scriptures. His neighborhood testified to anyone who would listen at the morgue of the Laquintinie Hospital in Douala. The performance of song 229 of the victory song, one of the favorites of the late Pastor Eugène Makembe, aroused a wave of strong emotions in the bruised hearts of many sons and daughters of God present at the morgue. The various men of God present at the home of Pastor Eugène Makembe invited everyone not to be discouraged.
A call to keep the faith, comfort the body of Christ and the family was given by Dr. Sylvestre Moutumba, witness to the story of Brother Makembe's ordination as pastor on December 8, 1996 at the Douala labor exchange. He recalled that the thought of God will always be above the thought of man while inviting the body of Christ to work for this continuity of the advancement of the kingdom of heaven despite the sadness and pain caused by the disappearance of the man of God and what he was for the Pentecostal movement of Cameroon. A feeling of recognition, of action, of thanks to God for life, the testimony of man and the model that he was according to the grace of God.
A lesson of life and death that glorifies the Lord. Reverend Pastor Laurent Mbenda who bears witness to Pastor Eugène Makembe despite the painful, sad moment implores the Lord to continue to support Mama Makembe, who keeps the faith as during her husband's lifetime.
