Edification of the culture of the kingdom at the Yadah Youth Festival

The Wednesday on the Mountain interdenominational movement concluded its youth meeting on August 11, 2024. The 2^th edition of the youth program called Youth at Yadah was placed under the theme: "understanding the kingdom". The meeting was held at the Revival Room located in Douala 5^e.

More than 1000 people of all ages responded to this call for edification, exchange and entertainment. For the occasion, the servants of God speakers exhorted the participants on purity as the only condition for seeing God. "For it is written in Matthew 5:8 (KJV): "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God"", specifies Yvan YEPGA, speaker at the said meeting.

However, youth is characterized by a strong attraction to the things of the world. Young people like pleasure, they like what catches the eye, they are attracted by sexuality, etc. While the Christian life does not allow us to love the world, it rather tells us that anyone who loves the world is an enemy of God.

Thus, because of the attractions that young people experience, it is difficult to remain pure. So, there are some who fall into sin every day, and do not get up again. There are also some who fall, but who want to remain pure. Sometimes, seeing that they make a lot of effort without success, they come to think that it is impossible to lead a pure life. "This is the message that we are trying to convey because we see the drift within Christian youth. Our concern was to reposition things in their minds, the Lord must be everyone's first reason for living", mentions Kevin MEYI, member of the organizing committee of "Young people at Yadah".

The meeting ended with a festival organized as part of entertainment. The objective was to discover the hidden talents of some and explore them for others. At the end of these moments, young people were invited to get involved and infiltrate the upper echelons of society.
