NDIKINIMEKI mission report (July 2024)

By Ps. Yomsi Maurice (tel.: +237 675 177 554/ 697 551 898)

Introduction

As time passes, we understand new approaches to evangelism. We experienced some during our mission to Ndikinimeki. We will try to give you the report in this document.

I. Location of the mission field

Ndikiniméki is located approximately 200 km from Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. In the department of Mbam-et-Inoubou central region. The last census in 2005 estimated the population at around 17,462 inhabitants. To date, the number can be multiplied by 10. The population mainly lives from rural work and commerce along Nation No. 4. There are several religions there: UEBC; EEC; CATHOLIC etc…
The team
It was made up of three missionaries

III. Missionary action
Our approach consisted of two strategies:

1.
Winning souls to Christ through cinematographic projections

2.
Equipping the workers (pastor and leaders)

A. The projections

We have experienced two divine interventions that we consider important to share with you. The first day we preached and no one seemed to be interested in us. We nevertheless launched the call and to our surprise, people came for a prayer of repentance.

On the last day, we were surprised to see the people who listened to us from their homes open the doors and come and accept Jesus in their hearts as their personal Lord and Savior.

B. Training leaders
This is where there was an innovation. We invited pastors and church leaders to participate in a seminar on evangelism and church training. Knowing that the majority of these leaders were not Christians (in the sense of being born again), we found in this forum a great opportunity not only to train them in evangelization, but above all to communicate the Good News to them.

During the workshops, we separated the pastors from the other leaders. It was another great opportunity to let the pastors talk to us about their difficulties in ministry, and to give them advice

The scrolls were given to all participants.

Ten leaders among the leaders made a public commitment to accept the Lord as Master and King of their hearts. Others did it without standing up publicly.

IV. Prayer Subjects

  • Let us give thanks to God who has granted us transports of joy
  • Let us bless the Lord for protection throughout our stay in Ndikinimeki
  • Let us bless the Lord for the work done in the hearts
  • Let us pray for the spiritual growth of the new converts, particularly the converted pastors
  • Let us pray for growth of the assemblies of Ndikiniméki
  • Let us pray against the plans of the enemy in the assemblies of Ndikinimeki
  • Let us pray for the next mission in NJORE in August 2024
  • Let us pray a lot for Pastor Yomsi who has undergone three surgeries in his family in less than six months: himself, his wife, and his first son. May the Lord watch over his servant and his family.

CONCLUSION

We are grateful to God for you, for the material, financial, and especially spiritual support that you have given to this mission. We praise God for the grace to be Co-workers with him in his work of reconciling men with himself
We will be very happy to have you join us during our next mission to NJORE, the third week of August 2024.

Shalom
