153 days of prayer for Cameroon

The church is rising up to pray for Cameroon on the eve of the electoral year. This time before the Lord is materialized through a 153-day program of prayer organized by the International City Prayer Network, underway since September 4. The Église Évangélique Pilote de Réveil is the setting for this divine gathering of God's servants and children.

Under the theme "Église, sois éclairée et relever pour le combat à genoux", Christians gather daily to intercede on behalf of the Cameroonian nation in all areas. Indeed, in view of the political, economic, social, cultural and spiritual challenges facing Cameroon, Christians invested by God to be light in the midst of darkness must shine through the preaching of the gospel, prayer and work in the highest spheres of society. "We pray for God's will to happen. There are many winds blowing: mystical and spiritual winds. But, the church of Jesus Christ has the last word and if it stands up, things will change!" Prophet Simon DJOMBI, President of the International City Prayer Network, explains.

In addition, the appeal is made to intercessors in Cameroon and elsewhere for the Lord to intervene and enable a peaceful transition, far from the troubles and wars announced. The church therefore has a heavy responsibility to halt the bloodshed seen in the plethora of accidents and divisions of all kinds. "This is also patriotism. But we Cameroonians refuse to love our country. Let's love Cameroon with all its qualities and faults. It's not by chance that God chose us to be born here in Cameroon. I invite us to pray for Cameroon with all our hearts, whatever our denominations," he adds.

Prayer times continue for the remaining 146 days at L'Église Évangélique Pilote de Réveil and in all regions of the country for the salvation of souls in Cameroon in general and peace in particular.
