Yadah revives men's family responsibilities
The2nd edition of the "Men at Yadah" program has gone down in history. The initiative of the Ministère Mercredi en Montagne is a meeting place for exchange, edification and worship. For 3 days, the men of glory gathered in the Revival hall in Douala 5e from October 17 to 19, 2024, under the theme"created by Him and for Him".
The2nd edition of Men in Yadah brought together over 500 men from the cities of Douala, Yaoundé, Bafoussam, Bertoua and Foumban in Cameroon, and from the United States among others. Some came broken and bruised, others sick and others far from God. The theme, "created by Him and for Him", was an opportunity for many to be reconciled with God. In his address, Pastor Edgard Simo brought people back to the origin of their creation. For him, the man created by God has the onerous task of being responsible for his own, on a social, family and spiritual level. Unfortunately, as time goes by, man tends to abandon God and his responsibilities in favor of the things of the world. With this in mind, the pastor reminded participants to get their act together, telling them of the need not to let go of God's hand in order to experience success and inherit the kingdom. "What we need to understand is that man is the head of the family, because, he himself received God's instructions. But more and more, men are abandoning their responsibilities and transferring them to women, rather like what happened in the Garden of Eden. We want to take men back to their place in society, because a man won to Christ is a head of the family won, the family won and society won too" describes Pastor Edgard Simo, speaker at the meeting.
The2nd edition of Men at Yadah, in addition to teachings, was furnished by Talk Shows with experts in various fields of society, in addition to their belonging to Christ. The aim was to show men how to reconcile professional, social, family and spiritual responsibilities. At the end of these exchanges, the audience was advised to put Christ at the center of everything. If Jesus Christ does not find expression in what is done, God's glory will not be visible, and as a result, we could continually experience failure. "Men have understood that divine service is not only to the church, but a man who takes care of his family, his job with excellence, his ministry and God's house is serving God. Indeed, God must always be seen in our lives, our choices and decisions even in the secret place. And it becomes easier to live like that when God is put first. I'm leaving here really boosted, challenged and transformed," stresses Daniel Siewe, head of men's ministry at Mercredi en Montagne, and Chairman of the event's Organizing Committee.
The2nd Men's Yadah ended on a note of satisfaction on October 19, 2024. The next edition is scheduled for 2026.
