The MEI inspires Ngodi Bakoko to know Christ and his resurrection
The International Evangelical Mission gave extraordinary moments to the Lord for a week. Extraordinary moments where everyone was edified in the grace of the knowledge of Christ.
The people of Ngodi Bakoko will certainly keep this memorable edition. From November 4 to 10, 2024, the annual convention of the International Evangelical Mission (MEI) gave the people the keys and assets to serve him, but also to be a child of God in his image. This is why, for the 2024 edition, the theme: knowing Christ and the power of his resurrection, taken from the book of Philippians 3:10, is a call to the people of God to reconsider their choice and their place in the bosom of Abraham.
The anointed of the Lord during this convention did not fail to recall the divine recommendations and the responsibility of the Christian in the ministry. The Apostle Charles Tchatchou, visionary of the MEI, did not miss the importance of getting closer day by day to eternal life which is received through knowledge of the work of Jesus Christ. He could therefore declare in one of his sermons: "Eternal life is that you have taken the time to sit down and you learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, and you always end up knowing him!" The apostle reminded through his interpellations not only to spend time with God, but to spend quality moments with God in order to truly know him and one of the values of knowing God is obedience to his word and the awareness that we belong to God. Alongside the Apostle Tchatchou, several men of God also passed on the message they received from the Lord to enhance the theme and easy understanding of it, so that the people of God and the populations of Ngodi Bakoko, a fifty-year-old place, even in their homes, hear and understand the message of the Lord.
On the second day therefore, Reverend Kamleu Dagobert at the start of his message wanted to recall that there has little attitudes that can disqualify us for salvation. A message can be understood in its primary meaning depending on the context of its call to order, but which took on its full meaning in the continuation of its message. The man of God modeled his message on the way those who wish to be saved look at the message and the message bearer who allowed them to receive it. By this means, he called the audience to a transformation of his person far from haughty looks and pride. Because these things prevent God's message from reaching hearts. It was therefore a question, like the apostle Paul, of regarding all things as not having an important value if the conviction of the knowledge of God is not real in the life of a Christian. The Reverend could therefore say: "...if you are found in Christ, you must see the fruits yourself! You yourself must be convinced that you are in Christ. What is the fruit that you bear since you say you are in Christ?"
Pastor Gisèle Tchakounte on the third day built on repentance which is the very foundation of a good walk with God and a crucial element of resurrection and acceptance for salvation. She could therefore recall that the evocation of resurrection comes following death and the transitive to the spiritual situation of the Christian meant that one must die in sin in order to resurrect in the glory of sanctification and the identity of Christ to be eligible for salvation and this therefore requires a strong work of repentance. She also took the time to remind us that knowledge is a good thing, but that for this to be evident, it was necessary to have a holy communion with God so that salvation is within the reach of the Christian and this requires separation from sin and a strong relationship with the word of God and the Holy Spirit. She could therefore say: "I know how to sing a lot, I preach, but without power, because the Holy Spirit is no more!"
Pastor Clovis Njoptchouang, on the fourth day, entered into putting into practice the knowledge of the acquired word; to know is to experience! Experience is therefore another value of the walk towards salvation that Jesus Christ gives. This experience allows us to value to a greater extent the intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. The man of God therefore wanted to point out that the force of intimacy with God and of the experience that emerges from it is the testimony that the Christian bears to men in the world, as in the book of Revelation 12:11 “They overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life to the point of fearing death. » Pastor Clovis, in his sermon, did not fail to remind the children of God how the mystery of knowing God via revelation is much greater than what the scriptures and the testimonies of each person can suggest. And the man of God can declare: "What is written, what Jesus wanted us to know about him, but, he is more than what is written. So enter into an intimacy with him and you will discover him even greater. When you speak of him, you will not only speak of what is written, you will say things that you have experienced."
On the fifth day of the convention, the leader of the MEI - Assembly of Ngodi Bakoko also spoke, not only as a testimony, but to make its contribution to the building under construction since the start of the convention. Pastor Vincent Fangang in turn will guide the people of God in the evolution of intimacy with God. By recalling the importance of the evocation of Jesus in the Bible as a son and not a child, the man of God highlighted the importance of marking his steps in his relationship with God. This relationship that takes us from the stage of child (or slave) to disciple. To be a disciple therefore requires moving from disciple-servant to disciple-friend. Being a friend of the Lord therefore gives privileges linked to the revealed knowledge of God and by God. And after this stage of discipleship, the nature of son therefore becomes an imperative passing through the strength of the intimacy that we have with God and the level of knowledge to which we have access. And to the Pastor say:“The true knowledge of Christ will begin from the moment you begin to look at some things as dirt, when you begin to renounce many things.” Pastor Vincent therefore listed some areas of renunciation which can prevent us from knowing Christ by not having practiced them. This involves, among other things, renouncing: personal pride, revenge and resentment, worldly pleasures and distractions, harmful relationships and influences, the search for the approval of men, dependence on material goods, personal ambitions, the fear of suffering for Christ...
The annual convention of the International Evangelical Mission therefore enabled the members of the MEI of 4 assemblies and the populations of Ngodi Bakoko to better equip himself in walking with God in order to go beyond the simple intellectual acquisitions of speech in order to enter into a deeper intimacy with Christ. It was therefore a strong moment to recharge one's batteries spiritually and to understand the reason for knowing Christ and the power of his resurrection. An edition greatly enriched by glorious moments of evangelization, prayers, praise and testimonies and a walk for Jesus from the Cinquantenaire crossroads to the MEI assembly of Ngodi Bakoko. The appointment is therefore made for next year.
