Operation Nineveh: Baméka receives its evangelical assessment
Operation Nineveh (Saturate the world with the Gospel)
Bameka mission report August 2025
By Ps Yomsi Maurice Tel (+237) 675177554/697551898
Introduction
How beautiful and wonderful it is to be with the Lord in his work and see it gradually grow in the hearts of men, women, young people and children. May all the glory return to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Since April 2023, we have begun a large-scale missionary activity in Baméka. It is a village quite closed to the Gospel, and it would not be wrong to say “a village resistant to the Gospel”. Speaking with one of the leaders of the western region (Cameroon) of FGM (Full Gospel Mission), he told us about the hostility to the Gospel that we can encounter in this village. Having tried to plant a church, this denomination which seems to prosper everywhere even to the confines of the villages has not succeeded in establishing itself in Bameka.

We we therefore opted for a pioneering implementation method, with a relational approach. We gave ourselves five years to see the first fruits. Every month, by the grace of God, we do a mission to Bameka.
The August Mission was a mission of evaluation, evangelism, and discipleship.
Unlike the first missions in Bameka, we discovered that several people opened the doors to us. Some are even happy to receive us and listen to the message. God has done a very great work in Bameka. Even the Magnesi listen to us! The children greet us on the way. They know we are pastors.

The contact is a person or a house who agrees to receive us and listen to the Gospel. The number of contacts in Bameka continues to grow by the grace of God. Many people are beginning to become interested in hearing the Good News.

- Assessing Missionary Work in Bameka
A. The welcome of the missionaries
Unlike the first missions in Bameka, we discovered that several people opened the doors to us. Some are even happy to receive us and listen to the message. God has done a very great work in Bameka. Even the Magnesi listen to us! The children greet us on the way. They know we are pastors.

B. Number of contacts
The contact is a person or a house who agrees to receive us and listen to the Gospel. The number of contacts in Bameka continues to grow by the grace of God. Many people are beginning to become interested in hearing the Good News.

C. Our Missionary House
The Lord blessed us with a beautiful house in Bameka. It costs us a sum of money every month. We pay six months in advance before use. This is where the missionaries spend the night during their stay in Bameka. This is also where our training is done. Our encounters with those who are committed to Christ also happen there.

II. Evangelism
By the grace of God, we were able to engage in our missionary action with new people. By the direction of the Lord, we used the image of God as a mother hen who always offers protection to her chicks under her wings. Under the wings of the hen, the chick is safe from the hawks. But some chicks, instead of running under the wings of the mother hen, choose to hide under the grass and become easy prey to hawks.
God is therefore the mother hen. The Bible says he will cover us with his abundance and everyone can find refuge under his wings (Ps 91:4). The chicks are the men. The hawk is the enemy, sorcerers, vampires, malevolent spirits. The chicks who find refuge under God’s wings are the ones who put their trust in Christ. To enable us to find refuge under the wings of God, the Lord died and rose again. Faith in him offers us salvation in all its forms: protection, eternal life, forgiveness of sins, peace... Never have we seen people so attentive and capable of reproducing the lessons received from preaching. width="400">
One of our contacts opened up to us and told us the truth. “Pastor, if someone tells you that in Bameka he or she does not throw the chicken or does not offer sacrifices in sacred places, this person is deceiving you…” She also made several revelations to us concerning the village and even about those who attend the Church.

This information, as cold as it could be, allowed us to further understand the spiritual state of the village. They also helped us understand the directions of our mission. We were able to communicate the Gospel to several people. They were
all amazed by this image.

III. Discipleship
Contrary to the common term “discipleship,” the technical term that refers to the training of disciples is “discipleship.”

Discipleship in Bameka is still dragging its feet for lack of a missionary who lives among the disciples.

Those who have accepted Christ do not grow not as we would have liked. It was during this passage that we took the time to teach the disciples the importance of meditating. The next missions will place particular emphasis on this subject.

IV. Difficulties encountered
By the grace of God, we did not encounter any particular difficulty. It is true that the
missionaries were stricken with the flu, but these were illnesses imported from Bameka.
