4 years of grace: when the Sowers of Hope transform a hospital into a sanctuary of love
Sowers of Hope at the City of Palm Trees Hospital: When love is given
This Saturday, March 21, 2026, the corridors of the City of Palm Trees District Hospital resonated with a particular warmth. On the occasion of the celebration of its 4 years of existence, the Association of Sowers of Hope chose to mark this anniversary not in celebration, but in service where love takes on its full meaning.
A visit, a breath of hope
Driven by their initiatives “I pray for my children” and “Find my 31", the members of the association tenderly invested the maternity, pediatric and neonatology services, bringing in their arms much more than packages: they brought the presence of God, prayer and the love of Christ.
Under the benevolent coordination of their founding president, Madame Olive Sandrine Ngono, the ladies distributed to each mother a set of practical gifts soaps, wipes, baby diapers, detergent but also and above all, an invaluable spiritual treasure: a Bible.
A Bible, a story, a life
Each Bible handed out carried a deep and symbolic intention: the name of the newborn had to be inscribed there, so that this sacred book becomes, over the years, the living testimony of his first days on this earth. A spiritual heritage laid down from the cradle.
The mothers joyfully received these gifts, also touched by the spiritual advice provided with love: dedicate their child to God, cover him with prayer, raise him in the fear of the Lord in order to preserve him from trials. Words which, for many, fell like dew on a heart tired by hospitalization.
Bibles were also offered to the nurses and nursing staff of the establishment, a gesture which says that no one is forgotten in this approach of compassion.
Four years of sowing, and the harvest continues
In four years of existence, the Sowers of Hope have traced a faithful furrow: that of concrete solidarity, selfless sharing and the love of Christ made visible through actions. This trip to the hospital is an eloquent illustration of this. Because sowing hope is believing that every gesture counts. It is stopping where the world often passes without looking — at the bedside of an exhausted mother, near a fragile newborn, in the eyes of a nurse who watches in the shadows.
To God alone the glory for this beautiful outing and for the lasting impact it leaves in the hearts and lives of the patients of the District Hospital of the City of Palm Trees.
The Association of Sowers of Hope continues its mission with faith and determination. May the Lord multiply their strength, their resources and their fruits, for his glory and for the good of those they serve.
