“Top start of ‘Vivre Libre!’: Philippe Decourroux welcomed in Douala”
Living Free!": Philippe Decourroux lands in Douala this Friday, May 1, 2026 at 9:25 p.m.
It was under a night sky illuminated by the lights of the Douala international airport that the Swiss missionary artist and speaker Philippe Decourroux set down his suitcases on Cameroonian soil for the very first time.
Despite the late hour, the welcome given to the envoy from Philippe Decourroux Missions lived up to the event: warm, spontaneous and full of infectious joy Among those waiting for him on the sidewalk of the arrivals terminal, cantor Claude Koum in person, his partner in the Méga Concert on May 9, who did not hide his emotion: “We spoke on the phone, we spoke by video, we saw each other… but it’s the first time we’ve seen each other. physically!", he confided in a burst of complicit laughter. A meeting that was much more than organizational: that of two men whom the vision had already united, long before their hands shook.
Guitar slung over his shoulder, suitcases stamped "Neuenburg" and his heart already turned towards his mission, Philippe Decourroux was visibly happy to be there. Asked directly about his first impressions, he responded with the simplicity that characterizes him: "Without Surprise, it’s nice and warm. I am happy to be here to serve the Lord." The trip? "Perfect, uneventful with some divine, magnificent appointments." Words that sound like a promise of what these ten days could offer.
Because if he came with his hands full his suitcases contain his latest Revelation CD as well as a USB box containing all of his productions: CDs, books, audio books and e-books it is above all with an open heart that he arrived in Cameroon. “We must expect the presence of God,” he told those who were watching him. “We must be open to experiencing something different. We all need a new revelation of the Gospel, to put it into practice. And I believe that we will experience it together during these few days."
A dream come true, in his own words: "Cameroon good evening, we are here, we are here for you. I look forward to spending this time with my Cameroonian brothers and sisters."
The mission that leads to this is significant. From May 1 to 10, 2026, Cameroon is hosting the "Living Free!" tour, a dense program combining preaching, visits to the prisons of Édéa and Douala, media tour and "I Respect Women" program. violence against women" will be held from 6 p.m. at the Akwa Marquee. The next day, Saturday May 9 at 5 p.m., a Mega Live Concert with free entry will animate the Akwa Party Room, with cantor Claude Koum in the opening act.
The local team has already planned everything so that their host feels, as one of the organizers wished, "like a fish in water". The framework is set. The presence is there. Douala, it's up to you.
