HOW TO FIGHT HYPOCRISY
To lead this fight, it must first start with ourselves.
Nowadays, many people like to be told what they like to hear, we increasingly avoid hurting or shocking people. There is an adage that goes like this: âThe truth hurts, but blood does not shed.â Nowadays, some people avoid hurting their neighbors as much as possible by avoiding telling them the truth they don't want to hear and, more often, even telling the lies they want to hear to please them. Basically, as long as we continue to behave like this, we are hypocrites.
Romans 12 verse 9 says this: âLet your love be without hypocrisyâ. There is no point in pretending to love or always avoiding saying what you think. In the Bible, the apostle Paul took over the apostle Peter who was considered his superior, Paul did not fear that the bond that united them would be broken, he just wanted to be true with him and with God.
True friendship must express itself, must criticize when necessary and must also encourage when necessary and not pretend. Let's avoid conforming to this world that wants everyone to be nice, that we avoid hurting others or shocking others by having a friendship full of hypocrisy and masked kindness.
My brother or my sister, like Paul, if I see in you what is wrong and I have to speak, even if it hurts you, I must do it because it is not to destroy you, it is to save your soul.
May God bless you on this day.
