To know God is to know His Word
john1:1-4, the Bible declares in this passage:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In the beginning, it was with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In it was life, and the life was the light of men."
Beloved, before you and I were born
God's Word already existed, and it's thanks to His Word that God created you and all things, both visible (sea, land, food) and invisible (air, wind, spirit), and the Bible declares here that this Word and God are one, and this Word is powerful to deliver you from all captivity.
The Bible says in verse 4 that in this word is life, your beloved life, which would mean that outside this word there is no life, but rather death is it physical life? No, it's spiritual life, the life of your soul, and Jesus was able to say in Matthew 4:4 that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
Let's read Hebrews 1:3, the Bible says here that it's by His powerful Word that God sustains all things, are you sad, downcast, are you going through a deplorable situation to the point where you're wondering how you're going to get out of it, your support and comfort are to be found in God's Word, the solution to your problems is to be found in God's Word
It's imperative to meditate on the Bible day and night, to be in constant communion with THE HIGHEST GOD.
If you want to have victory over sin in your life, meditate on God's Word! For you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free (John 8:32)
Indeed, a Christian life sustained by THE POWERFUL WORD OF GOD is victorious; for THE LORD gives success in every area of His Children's existence.
Do you want to be successful in all your endeavors?
This is what the LORD said to Joshua, Moses' successor: do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may act faithfully according to all that is written in it.for then you will be successful in your endeavors, then you will succeed," testifies Joshua 1:8.
This is why, when we observe the lives of those who regularly read the Bible, and put into practice what is written therein, we find that their lives are filled with testimonies to the Power of THE WORD OF GOD. For the LORD our GOD works on behalf of those who hope in HIM. THE ALMIGHTY gives them success in their undertakings, testifies Nehemiah2:20.
1/ Why meditate?
Physical nourishment is necessary for physical life. Without nourishment, we become weak and ultimately ill. This is also true spiritually. God's Word, the Bible, is our spiritual food, through which God speaks to us. Let's look at a few passages that show us why it's useful to read and study the Bible. It's important to read and study the Bible because :
- Our faith grows when we study God's word, when we hear it, when we read it: Romans10:17, for faith comes from hearing...
- Reading the Bible enables us to know God's exact will(Psalms119:105). His Word is a lamp on your path, there to enlighten you and help you make the right decisions
- Knowing God's Word gives us victory over the wiles of the devil: Matthew4:1-11; Jesus answered Satan, it's also written!!!! YOU MUST KNOW IT IS ALSO WRITTEN because let me tell you that Satan knows God's Word well and he distorts it just to lead to sin those who don't know it
- By reading the Bible, we demonstrate our love for Jesus. John 14:21, if you love someone you love to spend time with him, reading the Bible is spending time with Jesus
- it enriches our prayer life. We know what to ask for. We know the promises God has made. Suggested reading:Psalms119
- we are always joyful despite our circumstances (psalms 1)
2/ How to meditate (some tips)
Meditating on the Holy Scriptures is not the same as reading a novel or a magazine. Before reading the Bible, we must ask the LORD ETERNAL for intelligence, wisdom and revelation through prayer. Indeed, the revelation of the WORDS of the HIGHEST GOD enlightens, it gives understanding to the simple, Psalm 119:130 reveals.
2. 1/Pray and ask for God's wisdom And we have the assurance that if we thirst to know God's will, he will make it known to us.Matthew5:6
2.2/ Reading aloud can sometimes be useful for grasping things we might miss if we only read silently. One reason may be that when you read aloud, two senses (sight and hearing) instead of one (sight only) are involved in the process.
2.3/. Bring a notebook, pen or pencil. You can follow the steps below:
o Observation: for example, who is speaking? to whom? in what context? what is the passage saying?
o Interpretation: what does the passage mean? what does it say about God? about man?
o Application:
§ How can I apply it to my life?
§ Is there a commandment I must obey?
§ Is there a promise I can claim?
§ Have I committed a sin that I must confess?
§ Do I have an attitude to change?
§ Is there an example to follow?
3/practical meditation
a practical example of meditation, the meditation text is Matthew 14:24-32

Conclusion
Now that we've understood that Bible study is essential to our spiritual growth, I invite each of us to set aside an hour (define the hour exactly) in our schedule each day for Bible study.
