OF THE DOCTRINE OF JESUS ALONE

THE ONE ON

THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN FATHER AND SON

The doctrine of Jesus alone [free Pentecostal] or that of Brahmanists and other Christian groups [often without a denominational assembly] was a doctrine that I once professed! However, I was not part of the Christian groups that I have just mentioned, but I belonged to an evangelical assembly in France! Unlike Christians who profess that the Father and the Son are the same person, and that all other doctrines are evil, I was not on my extremist side. I simply believed that the Father and the Son formed one God without any distinction because I had been taught about this outside of the evangelical movement!

So how did I come to understand and recognize that I was not in scriptural truth?

The questions that the “Jesus alone” ask us of the Trinitarians are these: I will supplement with my answer.

One God

1 Samuel 2:2  No one is holy like the LORD; There is no other God but you; There is no rock like our God

Answer: The Bible says there is only one God and yet I realized one day that this God is Father and Son and the holy scriptures still say in John 4:24 [that] God is spirit!

I understood again that the word God was not a name but a title!

God means elohiym in Hebrew [el-o-heem]  KJV-God, gods. Eternal, divinely, divine, divinity, thunders, Bethel judges, divinities, angels, gods like a god, possessions of God, the (true) God, Elohim

When we talk about a family we think of a Father and a mother who form one flesh and a couple! Wherever for example the Psalmist speaks of God this refers to the Father and the Son [And God is Spirit]

Ephesians 5:31 Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.

Yet a man and a woman [the couple] form two distinct people! It is spiritually that he forms one as this text again says: Romans 12:4  For as we have many members in one body, and all the members do not have the same function 5  so we who are many form one body in Christ,

It is also written about unity: 1 Corinthians 12:12  For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so is Christ.

Philippians 2:2 Make my joy full, being of one mind, of one love, of one mind, of one mind.

The unity between the Father and the son forms this title of God as man and woman form a couple

One Father?

Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? Isn’t it just one God who created us? Why then are we unfaithful to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers?

Answer: 1 Corinthians 8:6 nevertheless for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we are, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we are.

The word Father, must not be confused with that which is a title that of the creator the potter with the title of the given Son [Isaiah 9:6] Isaiah Isaiah 8:18 I myself and the children whom the Lord has given me, we serve as signs and omens in Israel in the name of the Lord of the universe, who has his dwelling on Mount Zion. Hebrews 2:13  And again: I will put my trust in him. And again: Here I am, me and the children that God has given me.

The Father gave him these disciples as children of his ministry, therefore in Isaiah 9:6 it is said: He will be called the Everlasting Father! We must therefore not confuse the Father who gave birth to the Son and the Son who will be called Father because God his Father made him the Father of these sheep

Hosea 13:4  And I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt. You know no God but me, And there is no savior but me.

God and gods

Deuteronomy 32:39 Know therefore that I am God, and that there is no god near me; I bring life and death, I wound and heal, and no one can deliver from my hand.

Answer: In the text of Deuteronomy it says there is no other god beside me but in John 1:1 we can read: In the beginning was the Word; the Word was with God; the Word was God. 2  She was in the beginning with God.

Continued Answer: the Bible does not contradict itself between Deuteronomy and the gospel of John, because Jesus is not a god, but God with God, this is underlined in the book of Proverbs 8:22-30 The Lord possessed me from the beginning of his ways, before he did any of his works. [Excerpt] I have been established from eternity, from the beginning, from the origin of the earth. I was born when there were no deeps or fountains of water.  I was born before the mountains were settled, and before the hills; So I was with him his master builder, I was his daily delight, and I continually rejoiced in his presence.

Jesus the only creator

Jesus Christ called the Word therefore God and Son of the Most High was therefore with God

Isaiah 44:24 Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, who formed you from birth: I, the LORD, have made all things, I alone have spread out the heavens, I alone have spread out the earth.

Answer: When you read that the Lord made all things alone, you must understand that the Father gave all power to the Son to create all things without the agency of other people or through angels!

For it is also written: Romans 11:36  Of him, and through him, and for him are all things. To him be glory for all ages! Amen!

Colossians 1:16  For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, thrones, dominions, dominions, authorities. Everything was created by him and for him.

John 10:30  I and the Father are one.

Answer: John 17:22  The glory which you gave me I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one, -

If we who form several members [distinct people in the Church] and the Word says that we are one with him and his Father we can then better understand that it is a spiritual unity and not a unity of person as not being distinct!

There are many texts that demonstrate the clear distinction between the Father and the Son!

A Father and a Son

2 Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of all generosity and the God of all encouragement,

Colossians 1:3 We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we pray for you always;

When the apostle Paul writes and says: Acts 28:8 Publius' father was bedridden with fever and dysentery; Paul went into his house, prayed, laid his hands on him and healed him.

Judges 14:10  Samson's father went down to the woman.

Mark 9:24 Immediately the father of the child cried out:

Are Sons and Fathers the same people?

2 Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Beware of the anti-Christ spirit

Question: Is the Father then the Son?

In conclusion the Word of God says: 1 John 2:22  Who is a liar except he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son.
