The power of choice
Evangelist
THE POWER OF CHOICE
To choose is to make a preference. By making a choice, you deliberately accept the responsibilities and consequences of what you preferred.
Pleasing God is a choice. God does not impose anything on us but, He gives us His commandments with the freedom to obey them or not knowing that any choice we make will have a consequence, namely: the curse or the blessing (Deut11:26-28).
Satan for his part places you in circumstances where you will be forced to choose evil or sin but he does not impose anything on you. When Cain was filled with jealousy against his brother, God challenged him and suggested that he not harm his brother but he chose to kill him and he was cursed (Gen4:6-12).
On the other hand Nebuchadnezzar put Daniel in a circumstance where he had to choose to sin against God to save his life or to obey the king and save his life.
No one is forced to sin! You have a choice about evil or good and God is ready to support you every time you choose to do good no matter the consequences. No sin can control you if you choose to remain faithful to God.
God bless you.
