Her real name is Apouel Pelane Jeanne Lareine and of Cameroonian origin, the artist Lili Joy was born on October 10, 1986.
She discovered her talent for music as a teenager, and wrote her first song at 15.
Subsequently, she attended a few rap studios in Yaoundé from high school to college and did backing vocals for several artistic projects before and after her conversion to Christ.
Serious things began in her career in 2014. In 2017, she participated in the album project of the Evangelical Music Group (GME) where she performed a song (Je raiai).
Despite the almost unfunded working conditions and the lack of suitable structures to support youth in the artistic environment in Cameroon, Lili Joy is not discouraged and passionately continues her journey by training on the job and with the help of God, with the vision of carrying the Gospel through art (song, dance, poetry) for the salvation of souls and the healing of hearts and to inspire those who have experienced difficult times, rejection, misunderstandings so that they dare to overcome these challenges and give the best of themselves.
